How to cancel your Slang subscription and request refunds

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Slang subscriptions are billed for the full initial contract term. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current contract term — you cannot cancel mid-term for a refund unless your service agreement states otherwise. If you're unsure when your term ends, contact your account manager or reach out to support.

To cancel your Slang subscription, you need to provide written notice with 30 days advance notice as outlined in your service agreement. Here's how to properly cancel and handle billing issues:

Cancellation Process

Submit your cancellation request in writing by:

  • Sending an email to support@slang.ai

  • Creating a support ticket through the Support Widget in your Slang Dashboard

  • Including your desired cancellation date (must be at least 30 days from request date)

Your account manager will be looped in to assist with the cancellation process and ensure proper off-boarding of your services.

Important Off-boarding Steps

Before your cancellation date, make sure to:

  • If you use Slang Replace: Remove your dedicated Slang number from all public-facing locations (website, Google Business Profile, reservation platforms, etc.) and replace it with your previous or new phone number. You can find each location's Slang number by logging into the respective Slang dashboard.

  • If you use call forwarding: Remove the call forwarding to Slang through your phone provider.

Per the standard agreement, billing begins upon signing your contract, not when you start using the service. However, Slang may consider refund requests in certain circumstances:

  • Business closures: If your business has closed unexpectedly, provide proof of closure date and Slang may expedite your cancellation and consider refund requests

  • Billing errors: If you believe you've been charged incorrectly after cancellation, contact support with documentation of your cancellation request

  • Plan changes: If there were delays in processing plan changes, credits may be applied to cover the difference
