Resy Integration FAQs

Last updated: January 22, 2026

What can the integration do for my guests?

The Slang integration with Resy can book standard reservations without a payment requirement when guests speak with Slang. It syncs directly with your Resy OS inventory in real-time.

What is the Caller Experience?

If a caller with an existing Resy account asks to make a reservation, your Slang Concierge will collect the essential details: date, time, and party size. We’ll check your books for availability via the Resy integration and let the caller know what’s available.

We can offer one or two alternative seating times if the requested time is not available.

Once we collect the information required for the reservation, we’ll submit reservation details to Resy.

Slang’s Resy integration requires guests to have a Resy account before making a reservation. When Slang cannot find an account associated with the phone number or if there is more than one account associated with the phone number, Slang will offer to send a direct link via SMS for the guest to book their reservation, per your dashboard settings.

What happens if a guest wants to change or cancel a reservation?

The Resy integration with Slang allows Slang to automatically make changes, and process cancellations. Slang will gather the required information from the guest and process the change on the ResyOS platform.

What happens if a guest calls about running late to a reservation?

Slang will follow the settings and restrictions configured for your Slang Concierge.

How will customers receive confirmation?

Guests will receive the standard confirmation notifications that you have configured within your ResyOS settings.

If you have Resy SMS confirmations enabled, they will receive a text from Resy.

If you have Resy Email confirmations enabled, and the guest profile has a valid email, they will receive an email.

Are there any limitations?

Landlines: Landline callers looking to book a reservation will be forwarded to your in-house staff.

Payments & Credit Cards: We cannot facilitate bookings that require a Credit Card or prepayment at this time.

If a caller asks to book a reservation that is subject to a cancellation fee or deposit, they will be escalated to the “Talk to Human” configuration so that your team can capture the reservation information directly.

E-mail Addresses: E-mail collection is not part of the standard call experience to keep call times short and productive. If an email address is associated to the phone number in Resy, you will be able to see it attached to the reservation.

I only require Credit Cards for larger parties, how should I configure Slang?

  1. Navigate to the Concierge page of your Slang dashboard and open your Reservations settings.

  2. Select "Online" as the method for booking.

  3. Set the Max Party Size to the maximum party that can book without needing to submit Credit Card details.

  4. Save your Resy booking link (this will be offered to callers without a Resy account).

  5. Open the Large Parties topic, and save your Resy link again. Callers will be able to submit their Credit Card information online.

Does the integration cost anything?

The Resy integration is part of the feature set available to Slang customers who are on either Core or Premium packages.

If you want to connect Resy to your Slang account, please reach out to support@slang.ai to gain access to this feature.

What reporting is available on the Slang Dashboard?

Reservations created through Slang will be counted on the Insights page of your Slang dashboard.

Why does the Reservations Insights page say every booking is an Unknown Guest?

The Resy integration currently does not retrieve guest names into the Slang dashboard. Therefore, all Resy reservations will be marked as an “Unknown” guest.

Are there any other features I have access to?

Pause Same-Day Reservations:

This allows you to stop the flow of same-day reservations from Slang calls if you have a buyout or if the kitchen is overwhelmed, preventing the AI from adding to the chaos.

Cross-Sell Reservations:

This feature is compatible with the Resy integration and is available for Premium Subscriptions. Slang will recommend a reservation at another venue of yours if the dialed restaurant has no booking availability.

How do I disconnect the integration?

If you ever need to disconnect your SevenRooms integration with Slang, head to the Marketplace on your Slang dashboard.

  1. Log in to ilove.slang.ai

  2. Click on Marketplace on the left-side navigation.

  3. On the Resy tile, click Manage

  4. A drawer will open and will show a button that says Disconnect
